Jungle Squad with Mr Lowe

This week Year 3 had an exciting opportunity to work with Mr Lowe on a new SMSC and PE session called Spirit of the Squad in partnership with Beyond the Physical and Jungle Squad.

The programme combines engaging storytelling, classroom discussion and practical challenges to help children develop the skills, values and character traits needed to thrive in school and beyond.

Aligned with Personal Development, PSHE and SMSC objectives, Spirit of the Squad provides a progressive learning journey from EYFS through to Year 6, helping pupils become confident individuals, responsible decision-makers, supportive teammates and active members of their community

In the 'Our Squad' session that the Year 3 children took part in, the children learnt to develop their teamwork, communication, friendship and leadership skills so children can work positively with others.

They found the activities lots of fun and particularly enjoyed the packs of cards and the low sugar snacks that they tried and can also purchase from Tesco if they want some more!
