Year 1 Curriculum

In Year One, pupils begin the Key Stage One National Curriculum. Our Reception and Year One team work together closely to make sure our pupils have had a good transition from the Early Years and Foundation Stage and this carries on throughout the first term. In Year One, we use our outdoor learning area to enhance all subjects across the curriculum. We really take off with our phonics and all pupils take the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check in June. We start to get the tram for our trips and visits and visit the seaside in summer to make our History learning come alive!
