Date: 1st Mar 2022 @ 12:19pm

This week Year 3 had their DT day and completed a project that consisted of creating packaging for a purpose.

The children worked hard during the research phase to ensure they understood the different graphics, fonts and audiences for various products. They explored nets and had a go at making many different 3D shapes. Finally they looked at real life packaging and took them apart to explore further.

They then used this knowledge to design their own package that was for a roll of Love Heart sweets.

During the making stage, the children used craft knives, cutting boards and glue guns to create their package.

Finally, the children evaluated their products and discussed how they would improve next time.
