The MPJS Choir sings in the Mall!, by Mrs Nunwick

We had a fantastic trip to Stretford Mall to perform for the shoppers. We got a really good crowd and lots of our families came to support us too. We sang six songs and included our Harmonies and 3 part songs! Next stop the Arena for Young Voices in February.

This is just a tiny sample of work produced by the children for the Headteacher's Homework Challenge in October 2021. We held an exhibiton of work completed, including 3-d models and short films for parents and carers in the hall. We were thrilled - but not surprised - at the interest and effort our pupils had put into this extra-curricular work to support our assembly programme. we had focused on Black British History and Role Models, then widened this out to respond to children's interests.

Y3 Science - Rocks and Fossils, by Miss Jones

In Science, we have been learning all about Rocks and Fossils. We began by identifying and classifying different types of rocks.  We made Sedimentary Sanwiches to help us understand how Sedimentary rocks are formed. We then looked at fossils and had a go at creating our own to help us to understand the process.

In Science this half term we are learning all about electricity. For our first lesson, we explored the different components of a circuit and enjoyed looking at which circuits worked and which didn't and why.
