Here We Are whole school writing project September 2020, by Mrs Nunwick

Date: 13th Nov 2020 @ 2:52pm

When thinking about return to school in September, we thought that it would be a lovely idea to do a whole school project together that would also help pupils ease back into school. This Here We Are book based project from CLPE (Centre for Literacy in Primary Education) encouraged a sense of community across the entire school, enabled us to reflect on the last few months, and also helped our whole school look forward to the future in a positive way. We knew that writing was probably the skill that our pupils had practised the least during lockdown so it was a double winner! Each class created a slideshow of their speaking, writing and art.

Year 5 DT, by Miss Jones

Date: 31st Oct 2019 @ 8:22am

Year 5's DT topic is bread, we began our topic by thinking about different types of bread, we then discussed our 5 senses and but together a 'wow' list of vocabulary which we could use to describe the bread when we tasted it. Our favourite part was our product analysis of bread where we got to taste 8 different types! We then created a line graph to analyse the ratings which we gave each bread type. We can't wait to make our own bread product which is going to be Anglo- Saxon style bread.
