Year 6 had the fire service in to talk to the children about how they can stay safe and help prevent fires.

In STEM club we looked at what would happen to skittles when they are in water. The children predicted what would happen and how each colour would interact and then observed the changes and helped make cool looking patterns!

This term the focus was on our amazing families. Families come in all shapes and sizes but what they have in common is they LOVE us, PROTECT IS AND CARE for us. Look at the creative ways our pupils represented their families - we've got poems, scrapbooks, family trees, models and pictures - amazing!

Mr Boyer designed a much longer course this year - we were nearly defeated by it! Hawking were the winning team and they enjoyed pancakes cooked by Mrs Nunwick!

To round off our topic on the Ancient Greeks, we held a full day of exciting activities. We looked at how Sparta and Athens compared and had to make up our minds if we would rather live in Sparta or Athens. We also performed our own Greek play!

On the 6th January, all children at Moss Park Junior School completed different activities based around their RE topic questions. 

 

Year 3 and 4 investigated the question "What does it mean to be a Christian in Britain today?"

Year 5 and 6 investigated the question "What matters most to Christians and Humanists?"

 

Children completed a range of activities including art work, music, drama, writing, discussion and many more! It was a fun filled day and children learnt a lot!

In STEM club tonight we made paper aeroplanes and helicopters. We tested them to see which stayed up the longest and had a lot of fun!

We created mirror images of real flower pictures, before challenging ourselves to draw our own.

Today we had the wonderful opportunity to watch Aladdin performed by Panto in a Day! The children absolutely loved it, it was so funny and we loved getting involved. Thank you to Mrs Toft and all the team for organising this for us.

Year 6 started their Monet and the Impressionists topic off by researching Claude Monet. We explored a number of his paintings and loved the style he used - impressionism.
