Date: 17th Dec 2024 @ 3:44pm
Today, year 2 were lucky enough to have a visit from an ex-firefighter!
He came in to speak to us about his job, and how putting out a fire today is different to how they tried to put out the Great Fire of London in 1666.
He even made Miss Khan try on the full uniform!
We are very grateful for his time. Also, a massive thank you to the parent that helped us to organise this :-)

This trip links to our current science topic 'Animals including Humans'. The children had a brilliant time and learnt lots about marine animals. They went through the eel cove, coral reef, ocean tank and seahorse nursery to name a few of the areas! They were excited to travel via the tram and were very tired by the time we got back to school. We are very proud of how respectful they were and their great listening skills during the trip too.
